How to maintain a healthy glowing skin?
I get asked a lot how to maintain a healthy glowing skin. Here are my TOP 6 TIPS that will help you to maintain a healthy and glowing skin
1. Clear skin start with a healthy gut
We can put all sorts of cosmetics and make ups but it is a proven fact that what we put in our body has an impact on our skin. There are a lot of food articles on what to eat and what not to....my philosophy is really simple eat MORE NATURAL FOODS AND AVOID PROCESSED FOODS. I love following Danny from Clean & Delicious for this very reason. Here is one of her recipes that please everyone in my family....
2. Cleanse your skin
Cleansing your skin twice daily, morning and night, helps skin to breath and absorb serums or cream better. It is vital to cleanse your skin in the night as our body and skin repairs in the night time. (always remember that no cleanser should leave your skin dehydrated, if you feel any product is dehydrating, it is a good idea to stop using it). When choosing a cleanser go for a cream or an oil-based cleanser and if you can go for a natural or organic product, there is nothing that beats that. My personal favorite ones are Organic Spa Lactic Gel Cleanser and Organic Spa Cream Cleanser. For oily and acne skin I recommend Eco by Sonya Citrus Fruit Cleanser. Ask for FREE samples, it is always a good idea to try it on before you buy.
3. Moisturise your skin
Moisturisers helps skin to repair while providing constant hydration and nourishment. Massage your face in upward direction, whilst applying moisturiser, to promote blood circulation and elasticity. Choosing a right moisturiser is dependent on your skin type, I always analyse skin and recommend the right product accordingly. Again, I always go with natural and organic products that do NOT contain any NASTY CHEMICALS. My personal favorite one is Intense Moisture by Organic Spa.
4. Drink 7-8 glasses of water per day
Water is the perfect way to get all the necessary nutrients required for clear, glowing skin. Water is key to great skin as it flushes out toxins, delivers nutrients to your cells and keeps your cells hydrated and hydrated skin = glowing skin.
But plain water can be pretty boring, so I add some tasty fruits and vegetables to my water. Adding the right fruits, vegetables and herbs to your water can begin to improve your skin on a cellular level and help you achieve the clear, glowing skin you’re after.
Depending on the weather, try any of these infused cold water recipes OR try one of my favorites Honeydew Green Tea by Tea Drop.
5. Wear Sunscreen Daily
Sunscreen is the most important technique to avoid pre-mature ageing of the skin. Sunscreen should be of at least SPF 15. Many Moisturisers are available that has got sunscreen in them or it can applied separately.
I recommend choosing physical sunscreen over chemical sunscreen. Here is why
My personal favorite sunscreen is Eco by Sonya Natural Rosehip Sunscreen for a simple reason that it doesn't contain any nasties.
6. Get regular facial treatments
A facial is essentially a multi-step skin treatment that is one of the best ways to take care of your skin. A facial cleanse, exfoliates, and nourishes the skin, promoting a clear, well-hydrated complexion and can help your skin look younger. You also receive advice on the best way to take care of your skin. A facial works best when it is part of an on-going program of skin care.
I do offer FREE* SKIN ANALYSIS and offer customized skin care facial treatments in accordance to your needs.
